HONLE Group Team-Building: Laughs, Lakes, and the Trails of Mount Mogan

To bring the team closer together, escape the grind, and breathe in some fresh air that doesn’t come from an air conditioner, HONLE Group packed up and headed to Mount Mogan for a two-day team-building adventure.

The first stop was Xiazhu Lake Wetland Reserve, a sprawling natural wonderland with over 600 tiny islands and 1,000 winding waterways. It’s like nature decided to build its own version of Venice, minus the gondolas. Home to over 800 species of plants and animals, it’s a paradise for wildlife—and for us city folks trying to spot “giant pandas of plants” and the elegant Crested Ibis, also called the "oriental jewel of birds." This spot definitely earned its title as one of Zhejiang’s top attractions.

On day two, we explored Mount Mogan, famous for its lush bamboo forests, historic villas, and misty, postcard-worthy views. Highlights included Chairman Mao’s former residence, the “Songyuelu” villa where Chiang Kai-shek and Soong Mei-ling honeymooned, and natural beauties like Dripping Green Pond and the Sword Pond Waterfall. It felt like stepping into a landscape painting—peaceful, green, and so quiet you could hear the bamboo swaying.

Along the way, there were winding paths, plenty of laughs, and a lot of phone cameras working overtime. Whether it was sharing snacks on the trail or motivating each other up the next climb, the experience brought the team closer in ways that spreadsheets and emails just can’t.

By the time we packed up to head home, everyone was recharged, reconnected, and maybe a little sore from all that walking. Trips like this remind us that teamwork isn’t just about projects—it’s also about creating moments, sharing stories, and building memories that will last longer than the ache in our calves.
